In the heart of San Paolo

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1721, upholds the tradition of the Greek-Byzantine Rite, in which the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom is celebrated.
The interior is adorned with numerous icons, a distinctive feature of Eastern spirituality. Of particular note is the fresco depicting a square host bearing the Greek inscription ‘IC XC NI KA’ (Iesùs Cristòs Nikà – Jesus Christ conquers).
