This room is dedicated to depicting the world of work, explaining its organisation and methods, describing tools and techniques, and revealing the knowledge and skills involved. Particular attention is paid to agricultural and pastoral work, craft production, forestry activities, the slaughter of pigs and the processing of their meat. Through work, too, we seek to reconnect the threads of identity-building, not only in terms of specific skills but also because working together and exchanging labour within the community meant forging bonds of friendship and solidarity; in short, it meant strengthening the sense of ‘us’.
We are always available to organise educational visits, hands-on workshops and guided tours for small and large groups of all ages. The important thing is to book well in advance.
